Anxiety: the role of fats, turmeric and wheat"},"content":{"rendered":"<div align=\"center\">\u00a0<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4640\" src=\"https:\/\/www.everywomanover29.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Cyndi-O\u2019Meara_Anxiety4.png\" alt=\"Cyndi O\u2019Meara_Anxiety4\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.everywomanover29.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Cyndi-O\u2019Meara_Anxiety4.png 300w, https:\/\/www.everywomanover29.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Cyndi-O\u2019Meara_Anxiety4-150x150.png 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/div>\n<p>Cyndi O\u2019Meara, Nutritionist, founder of Changing Habits,\u00a0was interviewed on the Anxiety Summit by host of <a title=\"as\" href=\"http:\/\/www.theAnxietySummit.com\" target=\"_blank\">the Anxiety Summit<\/a>, Trudy Scott, Food Mood Expert and Nutritionist, author of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/1572249250\/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=wwwantianxiet-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=217145&amp;creative=399349&amp;creativeASIN=1572249250%20\" target=\"_blank\"><em>The Antianxiety Food Solution.<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Anxiety: the role of fats, turmeric and wheat<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_toggle  et_pb_toggle_6 et_pb_toggle_item et_pb_toggle_open\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_toggle_content clearfix\">\n<ul>\n<li>Oils ain\u2019t oils and fats ain\u2019t fats: the danger of vegetable oils<\/li>\n<li>The benefits of butter and other healthy fats<\/li>\n<li>The impact of wheat on anxiety and depression<\/li>\n<li>Turmeric for detoxification, inflammation, depression and anxiety<\/li>\n<li>How to get the most out of consuming turmeric<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Here are some gems from our interview:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The healthy fats for me are any fat that nature has made.\u00a0 So that could be a saturated fat in a plant based oil such as coconut oil or it could be a saturated fat in animal fats.\u00a0 So in the winter there would not be a lot of saturated fat around.\u00a0 It would be more in the summer.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>And in culture and traditions we ate seasonal foods.\u00a0 So when the animals were fat they had saturated fat on them and we would consume those fats.\u00a0 If they were producing dairy which would usually be in the spring and right through the summer we might eat that and that had saturated fat in it.\u00a0 So we would have these types of fats in the summer.\u00a0 In the winter we had lean meats because the animals were lean.\u00a0 They didn\u2019t have stored fats on them.\u00a0 Neither did we.<\/p>\n<p>I look at the morphing of margarine and the fact that it\u2019s been seen as a healthy fat and it\u2019s not a healthy fat.\u00a0 It\u2019s a chemicalized, manmade, manufactured, polyunsaturated fat that is normally liquid at room temperature that becomes solid because of what they do.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>We also discuss inca inchi oil, a plant-based oil:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Inca inchi is very high in vitamin A and vitamin E &#8211; inca inchi seed oil is one of the most amazing plant based oils.\u00a0 It\u2019s also called sacha inchi, so it\u2019s a South American seed and it\u2019s 86 percent essential fatty acid and 48 percent omega-3 which means that we can make our EPAs and our DHAs with it.\u00a0 So it\u2019s a more sustainable omega-3 base as opposed to fish oil.\u00a0 And it\u2019s one of my favorite oils and it\u2019s got a profile that\u2019s similar to flaxseed oil and I can use it to make my mayonnaises, my pestos.\u00a0 I can make all beautiful salad dressings with it.\u00a0 I can drizzle it over some fresh vegetables that I\u2019ve just steamed.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>We talk about Roundup\/glyphosate being sprayed on wheat and canola and the research work of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.everywomanover29.com\/blog\/roundup-toxic-anxiety-autism-celiac-disease\/\" target=\"_blank\">Stephanie Seneff (interviewed in season 1 of the Anxiety summit<\/a>): looking at the effects on the gut bacteria, the shikimate pathway and hence serotonin and anxiety, depression and autism.<\/p>\n<p>Here is the TEDX talk that Cyndi recommended &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ted.com\/talks\/jeff_iliff_one_more_reason_to_get_a_good_night_s_sleep?language=en\" target=\"_blank\">Jeff Iliff: One more reason to get a good night\u2019s sleep<\/a><\/p>\n<p>And a recent study on camu camu &#8211;
