{"id":386,"date":"2011-07-01T15:01:58","date_gmt":"2011-07-01T22:01:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.everywomanover29.com\/blog\/?p=386"},"modified":"2011-07-01T15:01:58","modified_gmt":"2011-07-01T22:01:58","slug":"spinach-dip-recipe-super-speedy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.everywomanover29.com\/blog\/spinach-dip-recipe-super-speedy\/","title":{"rendered":"Recipe: Speedy Spinach Dip"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-394\" title=\"spinach\" src=\"https:\/\/www.everywomanover29.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/spinach.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"179\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>1-2 cloves crushed garlic<br \/>\n1 cup chopped onion<br \/>\n2 cups chopped mushrooms<br \/>\n1T butter<\/p>\n<p>1 cup water<br \/>\n1 \u00bc cups frozen spinach  or 5 cups fresh spinach<\/p>\n<p>1t sea salt<br \/>\n3T lemon juice<br \/>\n\u00bc cup broth<br \/>\n\u00bd cup tahini (sesame butter)<br \/>\n\u00bc cup nutritional yeast flakes (optional)<br \/>\n4T flax oil or olive oil<br \/>\n1\/8 t cayenne pepper<br \/>\n\u00bd t dill weed<\/p>\n<p>Saute the garlic, onion and mushrooms in the butter over low heat, until soft.<br \/>\nCook the frozen spinach as per directions or steam the fresh spinach until wilted (about 5 minutes).  Combine the all ingredients in a blender and puree until creamy.<\/p>\n<p>Chill and serve as a dip \u2013 delicious for summer barbecues or braais (if you\u2019re South African too!).
