This 2011 study titled: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/21329564\" target=\"_blank\">Effect of forest environments on human natural killer (NK) activity found that visiting forest parks<\/a> found:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>enhanced human natural killer (NK) activity, increased anti-cancer proteins, such as perforin, granzymes A and B, and granulysin in NK cells, and reduced the level of stress hormones in both male and female subjects<\/p>\n<p>this effect lasted for more than 30 days after the trips, suggesting that visiting a forest park once a month is beneficial<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Here is another paper we mentioned: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/16580127\" target=\"_blank\">Is love of nature in the US becoming love of electronic media? 16-year downtrend in national park visits explained by watching movies, playing video games, internet use, and oil prices<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This advice was smart: if you\u2019re working and can\u2019t out in nature, get a plant for your office or use a tool like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.Calm.com\" target=\"_blank\">Calm.com<\/a>, a very cool online tool I recently discovered.\u00a0 It&#8217;s not nature but may help until you can get into nature.\u00a0 You can pick what nature scene you like and then pick the meditation duration.\u00a0 I love it!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.everywomanover29.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/calm-dot-com-image.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3304\" src=\"https:\/\/www.everywomanover29.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/calm-dot-com-image-300x172.png\" alt=\"calm dot com image\" width=\"300\" height=\"172\"
