It will be held in Vancouver, WA on March 15, 16, 17. I\u2019m thrilled to presenting on Friday from 10-11:30am and my topic is \u201c<b>The Role of Inflammation in Stress, Anxiety and Depression<\/b>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This presentation will provide health and nutrition professionals with current, evidence-based information the role of inflammation in stress, and on anxiety and mood disorders. It will explain:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the <b>negative impact of pro-inflammatory<\/b> junk food, trans fats, feed-lot meat, pesticides, gluten, fructose and caffeine on stress, anxiety and depression<\/li>\n<li>the recent research supporting the <b>anti-inflammatory benefits of real whole food<\/b>, the Mediterranean diet (for both <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/23451814\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reducing inflammation<\/a>\u00a0and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/23286788\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reducing and preventing depression<\/a>, <b>fish and fish oils<\/b> (with some exceptions), <b><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/22854880\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">dark chocolate<\/a><\/b>\u00a0(with some caveats), probiotics, zinc and vitamin B6<\/li>\n<li>the links between <b>social stress<\/b> and inflammation<\/li>\n<li>the effects of <b>maternal inflammation<\/b> on anxiety and social behavior of offspring<\/li>\n<li>the links between pyroluria (see the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.everywomanover29.com\/blog\/pyroluria-questionnaire-from-the-antianxiety-food-solution\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">pyroluria questionnaire here<\/a>), <b>social anxiety and oxidative stress<\/b><\/li>\n<li>how inflammation leads to <b>low serotonin and mood issues<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It\u2019s quite incredible how much of an <b>impact inflammation has on mood disorders<\/b> and how simply taking steps to lower inflammation can have a positive impact. What is equally fascinating is that <b>so many of the foods and nutrients that eliminate anxiety and depression also lower inflammation<\/b>! The <b>body is quite amazing in its ability to heal<\/b> when provided with the correct nutrients!<\/p>\n<p>I will also be exhibiting and will have delicious <b>100% certified Organic Tulsi Teas<\/b> donated by <a href=\"http:\/\/organicindiausa.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Organic India<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0great for stress-relief and you guessed it&#8230; inflammation! We\u2019ll also do <a href=\"https:\/\/www.everywomanover29.com\/blog\/zinc-deficiency-and-using-the-zinc-taste-test\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">zinc status testing<\/a>\u00a0because <b>zinc is key for alleviating anxiety, stress and depression<\/b>.
